It's uncommon to walk along the Royal Mile and not see or hear a piper; something that did happen during the pandemic. The deserted streets of Edinburgh brought an eerie mood to the city; that however is something not unusual for the old town streets.
Perhaps you could still hear a piper play in spirit...
